Dear Family,

The most important celebration of the Christian Church is almost upon us, the Death,  Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus.  Our prayer for you is that you will seek the face of God during these next weeks and draw closer to the Savior who died for you and gave you eternal life.  Jeremiah said in 29:12-13, “Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”  So, as you prepare for the Easter season, pray that you will see the love of God as He has presented it through His only begotten Son on an old rugged cross.  Also reflect about how the Resurrection has changed your life and as a result of that one act of God what you will do with your life from this time forward.  Will you stay the same?  Or will you challenge yourself to move forward for the Lord Jesus as a new person with a new vision for God?

As we think of these things, I want to lead us on a “Journey to Calvary.”  It will take 5 weeks to get there and we will end it overlooking Jerusalem hearing Jesus cry out with tears, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.”(Luke 19:42)

On Easter Sunday morning we will then begin a series on the “Resurrection”, “Ascension” and “The Gift of the Holy Spirit.”  My personal prayer during these weeks is that God will touch your heart with His love and grace so that your life will be forever changed.
