This Week at North Anderson
DON’T MISS OUT ON WHAT IS SURE TO BE A GREAT WEEK AT NORTH ANDERSON!

On Wednesday:
Our Adult DiscipleU Bible Study will begin a brand new, verse by verse study through the New Testament book of James.
If you’ve never worked your way through this book before, it is an intensely practical book that will bless you and enrich your spiritual life. We’ll be introducing the historical backdrop and a few interpretational challenges of the book and them working our way through the first few verses of chapter one. We pray that you’ll commit to joining us on this journey through the book of James. You’ll be glad that you did!
As usual, the study sessions will be held at either 10:30am or 6:30pm
Also, on Wednesday at 6:30pm, our North Anderson Children’s Ministry and the True North Student Ministry will gather for their respective classes.
On Thursday:
All men and boys are welcomed to join our Men’s Bible Study at Mama Penn’s. We meet in the side room at 7:00am, share in fellowship, breakfast, prayer, and then ready and discuss God’s Word. This week, we’ll be looking into the transfiguration of Jesus in Mark 9.
On Sunday:
It’s time for our 5th Sunday Bible Fellowship Potluck Breakfast! All classes will gather at 9:15am in the Family Life Center for a time of fellowship, food, and devotion! If you are able, please bring a breakfast dish to share!
At 10:30am, we’ll gather in the Sanctuary for corporate worship, and we’ll begin a new Sunday morning sermon series entitled, “Summer in the Psalms”. In this series, we’ll unpack several selected Psalms and find that though these ancient words were recorded hundreds of years ago, they continue to hold incredible, life-giving relevance today!
For your encouragement, we’ve curated a Spotify Playlist that contains some of our favorite Psalms. You can listen to it here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7jOiC3bSlouxmxzN7XQpPl?si=VztO8vkbTkaW_aW5mU8KxA
On Sunday evening at 6:00pm, we have a scheduled Church Council meeting. This meeting will be held in the room near the entrance of the Family Life Center.
UPCOMING
Ice Cream Social – Wednesday, July 2nd at 6:30pm. Please bring a church or carton of your favorite ice cream to share! (There will be no regular mid-week classes)
On July 6th at 10:30am, we’ll be recognizing “Religious Freedom Sunday” as well as observing the Lord’s Supper
Verse For the Week
“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” – Psalm 122:1
Prayer Focus This Week – The Amazigh (am-uh-ZEEGH) of Libya
Instability in their homeland may be dominating the international news, but for the Amazigh of Libya, it’s just another day. Regardless of whatever is going on around them, they will cling to who they are and move about as normal. In truth, the instability has become normal. This means that they will still send their children to school, take care of the home, go to work, and visit with friends and family. They always maintain at least a little tea and snacks to provide for the unannounced guest that is almost sure to arrive. This doesn’t mean that each family always has these items on hand because a neighbor with resources is just as good as having such things themselves. Pray that as these hospitable people visit and are visited, they will be drawn to the One who served and provided more than any other person throughout history.
