This Week At North Anderson

North Anderson Family,

What a week we just had! We praise God for the goodness, grace, and provision he has demonstrated towards us as we sought to reflect His love in the Drive Through Nativity and as we gathered for worship and celebrated several more baptisms on Sunday morning.
If you missed the final message in our series through Titus on Sunday, you can find it by clicking the media tab here on our website or on the North Anderson App.

Speaking of Sunday, while we didn’t cover the last few verses during our sermon, I wrote about them here -

I know that I have already vocalized this but let me once again express my sincere gratitude for everyone who helped and served in any way at the Drive Through Nativity. However you served, please know that you made an impact and that is our goal. Well done!
Altogether, we increased the number of guest coming this year from 2023! There were 2,265 people that came through in 685 vehicles with 47 four-legged friends.

We also made a change this year in that instead of receiving donations to offset cost of the production, we advertised that 100% of the donations made would benefit the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. We were blown away in that Drive Through Nativity attendees gave $2,078 to this offering!

We praise God for all that He has done in our Drive Through Nativity!

*On a related note, if you have a receipts related to Drive Through Nativity that you are seeking reimbursement for, those receipts must be in Pastor Stephen's hand by this Sunday, December 21st. Please be prompt with this so that we can ensure funds used for the 2025 Drive Through Nativity can be allocated from the 2025 budget.

UPCOMING

Our Christmas Eve Service this year will take place at 3:00pm. We pray that this new time will enable more of our children and seniors adults who don’t want to be out late to attend

New Sermon Series – We’ll begin a verse by verse exposition of the Book of Joshua on Sunday, December 28th!

ALSO NOTE - There will be no Wednesday morning or evening services on New Year’s Eve (December 31st)

Verse for the week: “For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Armies will accomplish this.” – Isaiah 9:6-7

Prayer Focus: The Pedi Peoples of South Africa

(PEH-dee) – The problem is not unique to Africa, but it is significant there. Honest, believing, sincere, and humble spiritual leaders are hard to find and harder to retain. Because of the patriarchal culture of many South African people groups and the power that secular leaders are given over people, many men and women seek positions of leadership in the church because they are greedy for power and prestige. Many church leaders are not shepherds who have a genuine concern for the sheep and are willing to lay down their lives so that Christ can be formed in them. Please pray: “Lord, we pray for two Pedi pastors, Peter and John. Lord, You know how hard these true pastors work as they travel to small church plants and encourage believers. Jesus, please protect them from greed. Do not let any seed of greed take root in their hearts. Protect them from a love of power or position. Please raise up godly, trustworthy men and women who can help them in their shepherding. Jesus, You gave Paul so many helpers: Timothy, Silas, Aquila, and Priscilla. Please provide fellow helpers, friends, encouragers, and partners in ministry for Pedi pastors Peter and John.”
