This Week
Hello North Anderson family and friends!

Prayer focus for the week: The South Korea people
Approximately 17% of South Korean adults claim Buddhism as of 2024. This year, May 5 is Buddha's birthday, a national holiday which follows the Lunar Calendar. Buddhism arrived in Korea in 372 AD and has sincere practicing adherents today. In opposition to the Bible, this religion teaches that humans are responsible for attaining their own salvation and can do so through Buddhist practices. God has revealed that people can only be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, not a result of their works or good deeds. Unfortunately, Buddhism has been very influential upon Korean culture and there are thousands of Buddhist temples throughout the land. Pray God will open the hearts of Buddhists in Korea to hear and obey the gospel. Pray the work of Satan will be crushed and that Koreans who claim Buddhism will instead claim Christ by the time of the next national census. Rejoice that the Lord is calling people out of Buddhism and into His light!
