THIS WEEK AT NORTH ANDERSON
Hello North Anderson family!
We praise God for the wonderful Lord’s Day that our gracious Father blessed us with yesterday! We enjoyed a wonderful time in Bible Fellowship Classes, celebrated more baptisms, welcomed another member to the North Anderson family, heard a wonderful presentation from Gideon representatives, KC Gilchrist and Paul Ehlich, and enjoyed a delicious meal and wonderful fellowship as we honored our Pastoral staff.
In addition, we praise the Lord for your generosity in giving toward our annual Gideon offering. In addition to the sacrificial giving to Gideon’s International, over 60 Bibles were donated in our Pastor’s honor. Praise God!
We’re looking forward to another great week at North Anderson. Here are a few of the things going on over the next few days:
Tuesday: The DMA Leaf Looking Trip to Pretty Place and Aunt Sue’s for lunch will depart from North Anderson at 9:00am and arrive back home around 3:00pm
Wednesday: All of our regular Mid-week activities are on schedule with Adult DiscipleU (at 10:30am or 6:30pm), North Anderson Kids and True North Students meeting at 6:30pm
Also, Choir Rehearsal begins at 5:30pm in the Sanctuary. We would LOVE for YOU to join in!
Thursday: Men’s Bible Study at Mama Penn’s at 7:00am
Sunday: Bible Fellowship Classes at 9:15am and Corporate Worship at 10:30am. To kick off the Thanksgiving season, Pastor DK will be preaching a sermon from 1st Thessalonians 5:18 on Biblical Gratitude

Monday, November 3rd – Baptist World Day of Prayer from 2:00-3:00pm in the Sanctuary
Wednesday, November 5th – 1st Wednesday meal from 5:00-6:00 in the FLC
$8/person, $32 max per family.
Menu: fried turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, mac & cheese, rolls, & pumpkin cake
Saturday, November 8th – Women’s Coffee Chat at 10:00am in the FLC
Sunday, November 9th – We will host a Deacon Ordination at 10:30am
November 10th-11th - Be in prayer for the Annual Meeting of the South Carolina Baptist Convention which is being held here in the Upstate this year at Taylor's First Baptist Church!
If you would like to attend, which we encourage you to, please let us know so that we can register you as a messenger or as a guest.
Be in prayer specifically for the South Carolina Baptist Pastor's Conference, of which Pastor DK is President, as it convenes on November 10th, also at Taylor's First Baptist. There is no registration needed for the Pastor's Conference. Prayer Focus This Week: The Shia peoples of Iraq and Beyond
It is reelection season again for government positions in Iraq. Pray that God will raise up God-honoring men, like the biblical figures of Daniel and Joseph, to bring good leadership to the country. Pray that those leaders will be wise, just, and compassionate, and pray that they will work for the benefit of the Iraqi people and make decisions that bring greater freedoms to men, women, boys, and girls. Ask the Lord of the harvest to use earthly means to open doors for the gospel to flourish in that desert land.
