10:30am – Adult Bible Study and Prayer over Drive Through Nativity (we will meet in the Sanctuary this week)
5:00-5:45pm –Dinner served to DTN participants in the Family Life Center
5:00-7:00pm - Costumes will be assigned (Family Life Center)
Thursday
7:00am – Men’s Bible Study at Mama Penn’s
5:00-5:45pm – Dinner served to DTN participants
Please be in costume by 6:00pm and in position by 6:15pm
*Remain in character and in position until the final car passes through at 8:30pm*
Friday
Dinner served to DTN participants from 5:00-5:45pm
Please be in costume by 6:00pm and in position by 6:15pm
*Remain in character and in position until the final car passes through at 8:30pm*
Saturday
*No meal will be served (please eat before arriving)
Please be in costume by 6:00pm and in position by 6:15pm
Sunday
No Bible Fellowship Classes
We will worship together at 10:30am and there will be a lunch immediately following service provided for those helping disassemble and pack away the Drive Through Nativity production (will take place immediately following lunch)
*Feel free to wear work clothes to church or bring a change of clothes with you*
UPCOMING
December 14th – The third Sunday of Advent and baptism celebration at 10:30am (remember, no Bible Fellowship Classes)
December 21st – The Fourth Sunday of Advent and The Lord’s Supper at 10:30am
At 4:00pm, the Truth North Student Ministry (6th-12th grade) will have their “I’ll Be Gnome For Christmas” Scavenger Hunt
Christmas Eve – Candlelight and Carols Service at 3:00pm
*Over the past couple of years, we’ve noticed that there were two groups of people in our church family who were largely missing in our late night Christmas Eve service: children and senior adults.
After much conversation, we found that the reason given by both for not being present was not a lack of desire to attend this special service but rather the late hour.
In an effort to better serve the whole of our church family, we have adjusted the time to 3:00pm. We recognize that there simply is not a time that is going work for everyone but believe that hosting it at 3:00pm, sandwiched between the lunch festivities and supper plans that many families have on their Christmas Eve schedule, is our best option for maximizing engagement across all age demographics of our church body.
Again, our reason for adjusting the time of the Christmas Eve service is to better serve the needs of our growing congregation as a whole and thank you in advance for understanding that. As we often say around here, “Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape”!
